Snowball Effect mostly works with private companies. As shares in a private company are held privately and not listed on a public exchange such as the NZX or ASX, there is less publicly available information regarding recent trading history and what your shares may be worth.
The best indication for the price of your shares is the price at the most recent raise or trading event. However, if you wish to sell your shares prior to a liquidity event (such as a trade sale, or an IPO), they are worth how much someone is willing to pay you for them, in which case it comes down to negotiation between you and a buyer.
A private company may be able to provide information on current share valuation, potential share trading events or facilitate share transfers between shareholders.
